Vorgan Attack set.

The Vorgans are a brutish race of Warriors who opposed humanity throughout the ages, fighting against the Draigar and Norvagen in many battles.

The Ice Vorgans are a subspecies of Vorgans who lived in colder environments and served the ice wizard Xenoz.

Culture[]

"The Vorgan hordes are mutant, human-like creatures with a well-earned reputation for mayhem. Their ugly looks and shambling gait hide a cunning skill for ambush warfare. Volrog, Uruk and Lurggar are well known for their prowess using only brutal hand-made weapons."[1]

"The VORGAN hordes have found a new master –XENOZ the evil sorcerer has taken control of this brutish army to use for his own dark deeds. Under his influence, a battalion of these creatures has adapted to the frozen tundra to become the ICE VORGANS, a deadly offshoot clan of VORGAN race. Like all the ICE VORGANS, their leader Gortaz proudly wears the furs of slain ice beasts into battle."[2]

Vorgans were known to be mutants who lived in homes made of rotted wood tied together with rope. They had a reputation for causing mayhem wherever they went.

Despite their ugly appearances and savage nature, Vorgans were cunning and skilled in ambush warfare. They also were strong and thick-skinned, able to hold their own against a heavily-armored human warrior in battle; even with only handmade weapons, these traits made them deadly and brutal warriors in their own right.

Vorgan tribes and clans were led by chiefs, which were usually the most powerful member in the Vorgan society. Xenoz, while not Vorgan, held power over the hordes similar to a chief when he controlled them.

Despite their general disdain for humanity, some individual Vorgans joined other human factions, likely for their own purposes. A few Vorgans had been seen among the ranks of the Iron Raiders, the Aurios, and the Argentix.

Vorgans were also known for their use of "nogards," winged fire-breathing swamp beasts that somewhat resembled dragons, though they eventually learned to gain the loyalty of actual dragons (such as the Jungle Glider Dragons led by Tailtorn).

An unnatural offshoot of the Vorgan race, the Ice Vorgans adapted to living in colder environments, such as the frozen tundra around the Dragon Mountain in which Xenoz resides. Some Ice Vorgan warriors are known to wear animal furs into battle with pride, though the fur may also assist in keeping warm in the frosty climates.

Most Vorgans had green skin, though bright red and dull yellow skin tones were also seen in later years.

Standard[]

The symbol of the Vorgan hordes was a profile of a Vorgan face. During the Krystal Wars, the Vorgans flew a yellow banner with a green Vorgan symbol.

During their battles over the sources of Dragon Plasma, the Vorgans flew a green banner with a black Vorgan symbol.

Equipment[]

A primitive race, Vorgans wore very little (if any) armor, simply favoring tattered brown rags and wooden headgear with crests made of wood or bone. Ice Vorgans wore grey rags and metal headgear with crests made of metal or wood (or, in rare cases, ice crystals), with some instead wearing silver armor along with animal fur on their backs.

Vorgan warriors wielded axes, hammers, and other weapons fashioned by hand from wood, stone, and bone, and bore round brown shields with the Vorgan symbol carved on them. Ice Vorgans typically wielded the same handmade weapons as normal Vorgans, and their shields resembled the ones used by their forest-dwelling kin (albeit encrusted in ice).

Known for raiding and pillaging, Vorgans also made use of any enemy equipment that they could get their hands on. During the Krystal Wars, the Vorgans utilized cannons and Norvagen harpoon launchers. At the end of the long Draigar-Norvagen war, Ice Vorgan warriors were seen wielding enemy weaponry alongside their own, particularly clubs, warhammers, and spears of Draigar and Norvagen origin. The Vorgan Ice Fang ships used by the Ice Vorgans were repurposed from the hulls of Norvagen Men 'O War.

During a later war with the Draigar, the Vorgans began to make use of the magical properties of Dragon Plasma, using it to enhance their weapons, armor, and fortifications.
