Rebranding[]
Around 2006, the company rebranded itself as Mega Brands. This was done due to the fact that other non-construction building toy brands were purchased by the company.

In 2014, Mattel bought Mega Brands and rebranded the construction toy line as Mega Construx while the Mega Bloks brand remained for the larger toddler building blocks.
